Position Summary The Senior Accountant plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of Anova Care’s financial reporting across multiple entities. This position supports month‑end close, prepares financial statements, oversees general ledger reconciliations, and assists with budgeting, audits, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast‑growing healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day‑to‑day general ledger accounting, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and supporting schedules for review by the CFO.
Lead the month‑end and year‑end close process across multiple entities, ensuring deadlines and accuracy.
Review and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll postings.
Maintain intercompany accounting between affiliated entities, including shared services and reimbursements.
Support audit preparation and coordination with external accountants and regulatory agencies.
Assist in developing budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
Monitor cash flow and prepare weekly cash tracking reports.
Maintain and improve accounting controls, policies, and process documentation.
Partner with HR, billing, and operations teams to ensure accurate financial data flow and compliance with payer and Medicare requirements.
Mentor and support junior accounting staff in daily transaction review and best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CPA‑eligible preferred.
3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience (healthcare or multi‑entity environment a plus).
Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control principles.
Experience with QuickBooks Online or similar ERP/accounting systems.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with data reporting tools.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment.
