Duties and Responsibilities
Interior Design topics including intro to and history of design, presentation drawing, space planning, architectural construction and materials, environmental design, textiles and interior finishes, kitchen & bath, light & color, and digital software including Revit and SketchUp.
Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
Academic degree in English, education, or related fields.
Demonstrated experience working with and engaging diverse students and colleagues within and outside the department.
Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
AA or higher degree in Interior Design.
Five or more years of teaching experience.
Five or more years in the Interior Design industry.
Demonstrated commitment to student, faculty, and staff diversity.
The Successful Candidate Will
Work professionally and effectively with diverse individuals.
Possess effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Understand the diverse Interior Design field and have a knowledge of the educational process in helping students become work ready.
Have an appreciation of diverse constituencies and add intellectual diversity to the department.
