Title Cabin Avionics Engineer
Location Fort Worth, TX – 100% Onsite
Duration 12+ months
Pay $61.25/hr W2
Job Overview This engineer supports cabin electrical, IFE, and WiFi systems in an airline maintenance/engineering environment. The work centers on modification, troubleshooting, and reliability improvement of aircraft cabin electrical systems.
Core Responsibilities
Create and revise EOs, EAs, task cards, AMM, IPC, AWDM, and CMMs for cabin systems.
Investigate reliability issues and propose technical fixes.
Collaborate with OEMs and suppliers to develop electrical system changes or replacements.
Provide on‑aircraft technical support (surveys, photos, or minor inspection work as needed).
Support line operations by analyzing out-of-service or degraded systems.
Mandatory Qualifications
BS degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering required)
Experience in aircraft IFE, WiFi, or cabin electrical systems.
Familiar with airline processes.
Proficient in ATA codes, harnessing, wiring, and troubleshooting of aircraft systems.
Able to start quickly with limited training; self‑motivated and collaborative.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred/Additional Notes
Candidates may occasionally enter hangar environments or aircraft cabins.
Retired professionals with relevant aircraft electrical experience are acceptable.
Focused on systems like cabin lighting, lavatory components, and any electrical wiring‑related work.
