Electrical / I&C Design Engineer (Nuclear Plant)
Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing firm, and we are recruiting for an experienced
Electrical/I&C Design Engineer
for each of three Nuclear Power Plants in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
The Davis–Besse Plant
is an 894‑megawatt nuclear power plant located northeast of Oak Harbor, Ohio. It has a single pressurized water reactor.
The Perry Nuclear Plant
in Perry, OH hosts a General Electric BWR‑6 boiling water reactor with a Mark III containment design and lists a core power level of 3,758 megawatts.
The Beaver Valley Nuclear Plant
is located near Shippingport, PA generating power by two Westinghouse pressurized water reactors.
Direct Hire Annual Base Salary:
Commensurate with experience

Responsibilities
Develop modification packages and review any changes specific to digital upgrades to ensure all associated design and licensing and configuration control requirements are maintained.
Responsible for changes to the plants electrical systems, in addition to maintaining the station's electrical analyses and calculations.
Support of digital upgrades to plant components.
Provide innovative engineering solutions to complex problems.
Maintain the technical conscience for the station and demonstrate accountability for technical products and recommendations.
Participate in and lead special projects or teams as needed.
Perform Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duties as assigned.
Education / Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field is required.
5+ years of nuclear or industrial Electrical/Instrumentation & Control design engineering experience.
Knowledge of digital equipment, including control systems, transmitters, indicators, and instrumentation is preferred.
Previous experience in development of modification packages, digital equipment, and uncertainty analysis is desirable.
Knowledge of electrical/instrumentation & control component design performance characteristics and specifications.
Demonstrated understanding of power generation equipment and system interrelationships is preferred.
Proficient with technical evaluation processes.
Experience in performing 10CFR50.59 reviews is preferred.
Ability to effectively communicate with peers, management and/or represent the client’s interests to outside agencies.
Able to execute projects/strategies with some oversight.
