We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to support our Golden Valley legacy manufacturing facility with both internal and external production capabilities. This position plays an important role in supporting tooling and die operations, including sheet metal fabrication, die stamping, punch pressing, and progressive die work.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on engineer who enjoys solving problems on the production floor, collaborating across functions, and continuously improving manufacturing processes. A strong understanding of tool & die fundamentals is key to success in this role!

Job Duties

Provide engineering support for the Tool & Die room, including troubleshooting, process improvement, and tool maintenance support.

Develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes for sheet metal fabrication, stamping, and press operations (manual and automated).

Assist in evaluating and implementing improvements to tooling, equipment, and process layouts to enhance throughput and product quality.

Assist in print interpretation.

Support new product introductions by helping to validate tooling, materials, and process capability.

Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for production and quality issues.

Maintain and update process documentation, work instructions, and tooling records.

Collaborate with toolmakers and vendors on tool modifications and repairs.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, cost reduction projects, and preventive maintenance programs.

Communicate with outside vendors as needed regarding customer inquiries, commissioning and maintenance of equipment/machinery, and material shipments.

Work closely with HSE, Production, Quality, and Maintenance/Trades teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.

You Must Have

5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in tool & die making, stamping, or sheet metal fabrication

Proven experience interpreting technical schematics for die design process layouts with a sound understanding of various manufacturing processes and die design principles

Professional experience utilizing CAD software

Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and process improvement tools
