Compensation Hourly Rate: $50.00 – $56.00

Required Education

Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience

7+ years of experience supporting projects and driving execution of complex technical work

Business Analyst experience with underwriting systems

Experience in life insurance or underwriting domain knowledge (3+ years)

Agile/Waterfall methodology experience (5+ years)

Experience with JIRA and Confluence tools

Proven ability to partner with cross-functional teams for design, testing, and deployment

Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset

Ability to adapt to changing business priorities

Responsibilities and Duties

Serve as a Business Analyst for projects within Protection New Business and Underwriting

Document business requirements with detailed technical specifications

Understand and document process flows, ensuring system interconnectivity

Act as a liaison between Underwriting and other teams, advocating for business needs

Translate customer and employee requirements into actionable business solutions

Provide documentation to support prioritization of features and enhancements

Support Product Manager and Business Owner in aligning requirements with roadmaps

Identify opportunities to improve business processes through vendor updates and new features

Document procedural and process changes as needed

Ensure development outputs meet business expectations through cross-functional collaboration

Apply change management principles to ensure readiness for process and system updates

Work independently on high-visibility, cross-divisional projects

Document complex business problems and drive continuous improvement initiatives
