Job Overview Empire Electric Maintenance is seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Project Manager to oversee multiple commercial, residential, and government electrical projects from pre‑construction to closeout. This is a full‑time, hybrid position designed for a driven individual who thrives in managing complex installations, navigating vendor negotiations, and identifying change orders before they happen. Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple electrical projects simultaneously from planning to completion.
Conduct on‑site job walk‑throughs and coordinate preconstruction meetings.
Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment.
Handle submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.
Monitor and manage project schedules, budgets, and performance benchmarks.
Write detailed scopes of work and collaborate with clients and internal teams.
Identify and estimate potential change orders proactively.
Collaborate with estimators for pricing, submitting, and tracking changes.
Ensure compliance with NEC codes, OSHA standards, and company policies.
Assist field crews when needed and maintain quality control across job sites.
Seek out new business opportunities and maintain strong client relationships.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as an Electrical Project Manager or in a similar leadership role.
Associate’s degree preferred or equivalent field experience.
Deep understanding of industrial and commercial electrical systems.
Proven experience with electrical projects up to $1 million.
Familiarity with construction documentation and cost control practices.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to interpret blueprints, perform material take‑offs, and write proposals.
Field installation background is highly preferred.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Must be a self‑starter with a solution‑focused mindset.
