Our client is a leading multinational engineering services provider and general contractor who specializes in mission critical turnkey solutions. Employing over 750 professionals and deliver leading-edge construction solutions across a range of key sectors including Data Centres, Healthcare, Life Sciences and Technology, Fire protection, Building Services, and Technical Support Services. They are currently looking for Health & Safety Managers to join them on Data Centre projects across Europe.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific health and safety plans, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, industry best practices, and client requirements.

Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards, assess risks, and ensure safe systems of work are in place across all construction activities.

Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of accidents, near misses, or non-conformances.

Deliver health and safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing training for site staff, subcontractors, and visitors to promote a strong safety culture.

Monitor and report on health and safety performance, maintaining accurate records and producing reports for senior management and client representatives.

Engage with subcontractors and site teams to drive proactive health and safety behaviours and ensure their plans and practices align with the main contractor's standards.

Support the implementation of environmental and sustainability initiatives, including waste management, noise control, and pollution prevention measures.

Stay up to date with changes in health and safety legislation and industry guidance, ensuring continuous improvement of site safety practices and procedures.

Requirements

Proven experience (typically 5+ years) as an EHS professional on large construction or engineering projects, preferably in Data Centres or related sectors.

In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and standards relevant to Europe.

Strong skills in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety program development.

Excellent communication and leadership abilities to influence all levels of the workforce.

Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is highly desirable.

Ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced environment.

A valid EU passport may be required for this role.
