Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing complex accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting month‑end and year‑end close processes. This role provides critical insights into financial performance, maintains compliance with accounting standards, and supports the finance team in achieving operational and strategic objectives. The Senior Accountant may also assist in building and developing the accounting staff and contribute to process improvements within the accounting department.
Key Responsibilities
Manage full‑cycle accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and assist with audits and regulatory reporting.
Support month‑end and year‑end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost control or efficiency improvements.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to management.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support accounting processes and internal controls.
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor's of Science degree, Accounting (CPA preferred, not required)
3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger and financial reporting.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
Proficiency with accounting software/ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar) and Excel.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
