Posting Summary: The Department of Student Life is seeking a dedicated and student-centered professional to serve as the Coordinator for Fraternity and Sorority Life. Working under the oversight of the Assistant Director for Fraternity and Sorority Life, the coordinator will advance the UVM fraternity and sorority community through direct advising, innovative programming, educational initiatives, and ensuring compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Advise fraternities and sororities, governing councils, honor societies, and affinity groups
Create and implement leadership and educational programs for students
Administer the University's standards review process for recognized chapters
Advocate for inclusive policies and practices within the fraternity and sorority community
Represent UVM's Fraternity and Sorority Life to campus and community partners
Reports to the Associate Director for Student Involvement.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Bachelor's degree and minimum one year experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. General knowledge of practices and trends in fraternity and sorority life. Skills in student and organizational advising, leadership development, and program/event development. Experience working with and building relationships with college students. Experience with conflict resolution. Demonstrated commitment to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment.
Desirable Qualifications
Membership in a Greek-letter organization
Anticipated Pay Range $56,000 - $59,000
Special Conditions Non-standard work hours required; a probationary period may be required; background check required for this position.
