Role Summary
Under the responsibility of the Company HSE Manager, your main responsibilities will be to:
Lead all HSE aspects at Onshore and Offshore sites (vessel), including safety management, environmental, industrial hygiene, occupational health, and emergency management according to US Regulation and all relevant national and international legislation.
Monitor and audit HSE compliance across onshore and offshore sites
Perform HSE inspections onshore and offshore
Identify hazards, carry out risk assessments, and ensure subsequent corrective actions are implemented
Investigate all accidents/incidents/near misses that may occur on‑site and report to the relevant functional heads
Collect weekly and monthly KPI information for month‑end reporting
Carry out training of staff members, including toolbox talks.
Report directly to the Company HSE Manager and provide day‑to‑day support to the Project HSE Manager.
Qualifications
Proven in-depth knowledge of US HSE legislation
Knowledge of implementation and application of ISO
Good grounding in the engineering and/or construction industries
Strong presentation track record to internal and external audiences
Effective communicator both orally and in writing
Ability to negotiate, persuade, and influence stakeholders to gain buy‑in and support at all levels
Ability to interpret, extract, and analyze complex data accurately to identify issues and present potential solutions
NEBOSH certificate / NVQ Level 4 in occupational HSE or equivalent qualification
Minimum 3 years’ experience within a similar role
Conditions
Resident in Boston with the necessity to go on‑site (onshore and offshore)
Construction of an Offshore wind farm in Rhode Island (VINEYARD OFFSHORE WIND project)
Our client would be in charge of the installation of export power cable.
