Base pay range $58.00/hr - $58.00/hr

Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Network Engineer 4 in East Peoria, IL (within a reasonable drive) or Dallas, TX. The work will be done onsite. This is a long-term contract. It can lead to permanent employment with our customer. Compensation is $58/hr W2 + full benefits, vision, dental, health insurance, 401K and holiday pay.

Job Description

As a WLAN Analyst for the Americas team, you will have the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a team on complex network projects. You will develop your professional network and leadership skills as you support a wide variety of network-related solutions. You will also utilize your technical skillset and business understanding to help solve critical business problems.

This role will work with the WLAN team to provide support for all locations across the Americas.

Position’s Contributions to Work Group :

As a WLAN Analyst for the Americas team, you will have the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a team on complex network projects. You will develop your professional network and leadership skills as you support a wide variety of network-related solutions. You will also utilize your technical skillset and business understanding to help solve critical business problems.

This role will work with the WLAN team to provide support for all locations across the Americas.

Typical task breakdown:

Work directly on WLAN issue identification and resolution, including off-shift and weekend support functions

Participate in integrated testing and user acceptance of application or infrastructure components

Work actively with business partners and vendors with integration of infrastructure

Work with expanded WLAN team to implement processes and/or process improvements to aid in development and support

Maintain and administer WLAN including hardware, software, applications software, and configurations.

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve WLAN hardware, software, or other network and system problems.

Participate in an on-call rotation with team members, approximately 1 week every 8 weeks

Interaction with team :

Remote work is allowed on a limited basis, but candidate must be within 30-minute driving distance in the event on-site support is required.

Must have knowledge of configuration commands, software, and hardware components related to WLAN

Work environment :

Job requires in-person attendance, five days a week (schedule is flexible: Working Hours)

Education & Experience Required:

Bachelor's degree with 8+ years' experience

Technical Skills

(Required)

Computer-related or engineering-related four-year college or university degree

Three to six years of progressively responsible IT job-related experiences

WLAN implementation and support, knowledge of risk domains, tiered domains, TCP/IP fundamentals, ethernet, QoS, IP subnetting, cabling (copper & fiber), OSPF, VLAN Trunking, VLANs, and switching configuration.

Functional experience with LAN operations and implementation utilizing Cisco switches.

Experience with automation technologies and scripting

Relevant work experience with medium to large companies

Must have knowledge of configuration commands, software, and hardware components related to WLAN

There will be a total of 2 rounds; 1st round will be with lab interview and then the 2nd interview will be in-person.
