Senior Accountant (Salary Range: $85K–$95K base + bonus)
Sage Search Partners is seeking a Senior Accountant for a fast-growing business consulting and services company based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area (near Hurst, TX). In this role, you will own full-cycle accounting for a multi-brand, multi-entity environment - leading month-end close, producing financial statements, and partnering with operations on results.
In addition to strong general ledger experience, the ideal candidate brings hands‑on ownership of a brand’s P&L and balance sheet, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with revenue recognition and deferrals in a multi‑entity setting; ERP experience (Great Plains/Dynamics 365) and crisp variance analysis/presentation skills are strongly preferred. Responsibilities
Own the full month‑end close for an assigned brand, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
Prepare and present monthly variance analyses and roll‑forwards; confidently explain drivers to finance leadership and brand operators.
Produce and review financial statements (balance sheet, income statement and related reports).
Maintain subsidiary ledgers by verifying, posting, reconciling, and resolving discrepancies across multi‑entity accounts.
Build and manage amortization/deferral schedules; prepare recurring and adjusting journal entries.
Coordinate with AP, AR, and cross‑functional partners to ensure proper classification and presentation of activity.
Safeguard sensitive information and adhere to company policies and controls; uphold core values.
Identify process improvements and take initiative on special projects; perform other related duties as needed.
Client Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 3–4+ years of full‑cycle accounting or public accounting experience.
Proven ownership of GL in multi‑entity environments (franchise, retail, hospitality, or similar) and experience reconciling heavy schedules.
Advanced Microsoft Excel; ERP background with Microsoft Dynamics GP and/or D365 is a plus.
Working knowledge of ASC topics such as revenue recognition (606), leases (842), business combinations (805), and software/contract costs.
Strong communicator who can lead meetings, “tick‑and‑tie,” and deliver crisp variance narratives to non‑accounting stakeholders.
CPA not required; audit experience, graduate accounting degree, or progress toward CPA is preferred.
Work model: four days onsite near the Hurst area with Wednesday remote; flexible start times and flexible PTO.
Compensation & Benefits:
$85,000–$95,000 base salary + $7,000–$10,000 annual bonus; additional change‑in‑control bonus potential; comprehensive benefits and 401(k) match.
