HS Teacher, CTE‑Electronics (1.0 FTE, Temporary)
Position: High School Teacher, CTE – Electronics, 1.0 FTE, Temporary, 2025‑2026 School Year.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. Start as soon as possible; end June 15 2026.
Schedule & Qualifications Must hold Oregon licensure or be eligible to obtain Oregon teaching license: CTE I or CTE II license; Engineering/Manufacturing Technology Endorsement required. Must have recent, relevant industry experience.
Position Summary The employee is primarily responsible for effective teaching and learning of the assigned subject(s) following district approved curriculum, instruction and assessment practices. Primary responsibility shall include student safety and appropriate collaboration and attention to each student’s readiness to learn including needed guidance, discipline, and welfare. Primary duties: teach electronics technology and electrical engineering classes at Sabin Schellenberg Professional Technical Center, instruct the Electronics Engineering Technology Career Pathway, plan and facilitate Advisory Board meetings, develop industry partners, develop and implement program budget, create work‑based learning opportunities, document industry‑recognised credentials and advanced college credit, source/ordering industry‑standard equipment, and support the career and technical student organization. Technical skills required include troubleshooting & repair of basic and complex analog or digital circuits, basic industry soldering & assembly of thru‑hole components, familiarity with word processing, data‑tracking spreadsheets and basic computer software/hardware functions.
License Requirement Must hold or be able to obtain a CTE teaching license or endorsement in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology or Information Communication Technology, or add the Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology or Information Communication Technology endorsement to a current Oregon teaching license. Applicants must already be an Oregon licensed teacher with industry experience or, if without a license, possess industry experience and be interested in pursuing CTE certification.

Salary
Annual Salary Range (2025‑2026): $58,788 – $111,463 (193‑Day Contract). Initial placement based on education, experience.
This salary range reflects 1.0 FTE. Actual salary is prorated based on FTE and start date.
Stipends are pro‑rated based on 1.0 FTE and start/end dates of position/assignment.
As a licensed employee, you are eligible to receive:
A stipend of $2,500 if certified by NBPTS (National Board for Professional Teaching Standards).
A stipend of $3,000 if you hold a PhD or EdD.
Retirement Plan Contribution North Clackamas School District participates in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS and OPSRP). The district contributes the employer portion; there is also a mandatory employee portion. Upon eligibility—defined as working at least six full calendar months in a qualifying position—the employee contributes 6% as their employee portion via payroll deduction. Part‑time employees working at least six months and 600 hours in a calendar year will qualify.
Minimum Qualifications
A degree in electronics engineering technology, related field, or equivalent professional experience in the electronics industry that meets Oregon CTE license requirements.
Muss hold or be able to obtain a valid Oregon teaching license with an Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology or Information Communication Technology Endorsement.
Industry experience in the electronics field required; teaching experience preferred.
Successful experience working with culturally diverse families and communities, or demonstrated commitment to strengthening engagement of a diverse community.
Continuous professional learning and commitment to participate in professional growth opportunities and self‑reflection.
Demonstrated content knowledge for subjects/levels being taught.
Effective verbal and written communication with parents, students, and staff.
Commitment to effective collaboration and teaming within a professional learning community.
