Job Summary The Department of Science and Mathematics at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College seeks to hire a Lecturer of Biology that will serve the undergraduates in the Bachelor of Science in Biology program and non‑majors in science and pre‑nursing required coursework. The successful candidate will hold a minimum of a master’s degree in biology or a closely related field. Applicants with specialization in comparative anatomy and physiology are preferred. Interest and ability to teach environmental science, zoology, or other related specialty is desired.

This is a 10‑month, non‑tenure‑track faculty position. The successful candidate will actively participate in the teaching, research, and service activities in the Department of Science and Mathematics. Applicants must demonstrate excellent oral and written competencies, interpersonal skills, and willingness to work in multidisciplinary teams. Experience in laboratory instruction, preparation, and maintenance is desirable. Applicants must have a strong commitment to undergraduate education and mentored undergraduate research. Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College is a residential state college with locations in Tifton, GA (main) and Bainbridge, GA. The college offers associate and baccalaureate degrees, including the Bachelor of Science in Biology, and has an enrollment of 4,000 students.

The ideal candidate will teach a combination of general biology, environmental science and associated labs, comparative anatomy and physiology and may have the opportunity to develop upper‑level courses in their area of expertise.

Required Qualifications: Master’s degree in biology or a closely related field, with specialization in animal or human anatomy and physiology desired.
