Job Summary Hardware Engineer III – 6 month W2 contract position located at 50 Minuteman Road, Andover, MA 01810 (Onsite). Schedule: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Shift 1 (First Shift). Key Responsibilities Lab debugging and verification of complex embedded digital hardware products. Production operations and customer support to debug and resolve defects at the circuit and component level. Root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA). Design of complex embedded digital hardware products using cutting‑edge technologies from Intel, Microchip, Xilinx, NVIDIA, TI and others. Perform analysis including derating, reliability, and FMECA. Conduct schematic integrity checks with tools such as Mentor Valydate. Manage Bill‑of‑Materials (BOM) configuration control. Select components and manage end‑of‑life parts. Collaborate with architecture/system engineering, product management, CAD & SI, manufacturing operations, firmware/systems engineering, purchasing, and others. Design modules with processors, network switches, backplanes, and I/O modules. Implement high‑speed digital interfaces including Ethernet, PCIe, DDR/SDRAM, and support circuits (DC/DC, clocking, JTAG, SPI, I2C, UART). Develop schematics using Cadence DEHDL or equivalent. Operate hardware lab tools such as oscilloscopes and DVMs for verification and debugging. Apply lab debugging skills to both hardware and software across new development and sustained products. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering. Minimum 7 years of experience in hardware engineering. Proficiency in root cause analysis. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills. Benefits & Compensation Hourly Rate: $65 – $70 per hour.
