Sr. eDiscovery Manager and Counsel POSITION SUMMARY The

eDiscovery Project Manager

is a full-time, exempt position based in one of our office locations with the states listed above. This role is responsible for planning and coordinating assigned eDiscovery matters by ensuring tasks and work are executed to industry best practices. Coordinate data collection, oversee or execute data processing, data loading, ECA workflows, uploading to review platform, review database set up, review process optimization, coordination with case teams and document review teams, and the production of ESI. Oversee third-party vendors as well as in house platform(s), focusing on quality control and quality assurance for each step. The successful candidate will be working in a dynamic environment that requires excellent organization, handling a multitude of tasks simultaneously, independent thinking and self-direction, the ability to work well with people, and determination to get the job done. $83,784 - $176,000 , and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. We encourage all interested candidates to apply. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement strategies for effective and efficient eDiscovery management, aligning with the firm's goals and industry’s best practices. Advise firm attorneys on process steps, budgeting, cost tradeoffs and options for eDiscovery matters. Coordinate with forensic data collection teams to track status of the collection of data sources required to be preserved for litigation. Investigate case facts (responding to inquiries to find documents within database). Analyze data from a variety of sources (data intake and tracking from client). Manage all aspects of eDiscovery, including coordinating document review workflows, identifying and producing responsive materials to opposing counsel, and analyzing and categorizing documents received in response to discovery requests. Communicate effectively and professionally with courts, clients, and opposing counsel when needed. Track and record time to ensure services provided are appropriately charged. Train other firm personnel in utilization of litigation-specific software. Assess and report on the performance of eDiscovery operations, including adherence to established performance indicators. Deliver exceptional client service both internally and externally in a professional manner with discretion and confidentiality. QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS 3–5 years of experience in a litigation support or eDiscovery vendor environment required, with additional experience in multiple areas of law highly desirable. Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified eDiscovery Specialist (CEDS) certification is desirable Deep knowledge of eDiscovery methodologies, legal tech tools, and best practices. Strong vendor management skills, with a focus on performance assessment and meeting budget expectations for projects. Ability to perform effectively with moderate supervision and deadline expectations. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally to develop strong working rapport with others. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, including meeting time demands. Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to advise all levels of personnel on complex technical issues. Strong organizational skills. Must be located in, or have the ability to consistently work during, Pacific and Mountain Time Zone business hours. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively on cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines. Flexibility to travel is preferred. Proven ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects and cases for several attorneys simultaneously while remaining calm and effective under pressure. Must maintain strict confidentiality in all business matters and professional interactions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of 10 - 20 lbs. Ability to see and read PC screens, detect color coding, read fine print, and/or standard size print. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on a computer for an average of 4-6 hours per day. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
