Sr. eDiscovery Manager and Counsel POSITION SUMMARY The
eDiscovery Project Manager
is a full-time, exempt position based in one of our office locations within the states listed above. This role is responsible for planning and coordinating assigned eDiscovery matters by ensuring tasks and work are executed according to industry best practices. Responsibilities include coordinating data collection, overseeing or executing data processing, data loading, ECA workflows, uploading to review platforms, review database setup, review process optimization, and production of ESI. The role involves overseeing third-party vendors and in-house platforms, focusing on quality control and assurance at each step. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment requiring excellent organization, multitasking, independent thinking, teamwork, and determination to complete tasks effectively. $83,784 - $176,000 , depending on your skills, qualifications, and experience. We encourage all interested candidates to apply. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement strategies for effective eDiscovery management aligned with the firm's goals and industry best practices. Advise attorneys on process steps, budgeting, cost tradeoffs, and options for eDiscovery matters. Coordinate with forensic data collection teams to track data sources required for litigation preservation. Investigate case facts and respond to inquiries to locate documents within databases. Analyze data from various sources, including data intake and client tracking. Manage all aspects of eDiscovery, including document review workflows, responsive material production, and document categorization. Communicate professionally with courts, clients, and opposing counsel as needed. Track and record time for billing purposes. Train firm personnel on litigation-specific software. Assess and report on eDiscovery operations performance, ensuring adherence to performance indicators. Deliver professional, discreet, and confidential client service internally and externally. QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS 3–5 years of experience in litigation support or eDiscovery vendor environment; additional legal experience is a plus. Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified eDiscovery Specialist (CEDS) certification is desirable. Deep knowledge of eDiscovery methodologies, legal tech tools, and best practices. Strong vendor management skills, including performance assessment and budgeting. Ability to work effectively with moderate supervision and meet deadlines. Effective communication skills to develop rapport at all levels. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills for advising on technical issues. Strong organizational skills. Must be located in or able to work during Pacific and Mountain Time Zone hours. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively. Maintain confidentiality at all times. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Primarily sedentary work with occasional lifting of 10-20 lbs. Ability to see and read screens, detect color coding, and read fine print. Capable of climbing stairs in emergencies. Operate routine office equipment. Work on a computer for 4-6 hours daily. Work extended hours as needed. Reliable attendance is required.
