IWSG has over 100 staff providing program management, systems engineering, software, cybersecurity, and support for Navy and defense programs, including work with the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Office of Naval Research, and Missile Defense Agency. Responsibilities
SPA's IWSG is seeking a dedicated Senior Infrastructure Engineer
to support the Space Systems Development Department (SSDD) at the Naval Center for Space Technology (NCST), part of the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) in Washington, DC. This role involves advanced R&D for space and ground support systems, including C4ISR systems, to support Naval Missions. The position is full-time onsite, with hiring expected in late 2025. We offer a competitive total compensation package, including base pay, bonuses, and benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. Salary range: $140,000-$180,000, commensurate with experience. Qualifications
Required BS in Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science DoD TOP SECRET security clearance with SCI eligibility Minimum 10 years relevant experience At least 8 years of experience with domains, servers, networks, remote access, and mail servers Desired Experience designing and supporting enterprise infrastructure, analyzing requirements, ensuring security, and integrating systems Ability to develop security documentation, network diagrams, and manage infrastructure components, including VM management in secure and unsecure environments Skill in troubleshooting complex configuration and performance issues Experience providing hands-on support, maintenance, and vendor communication, working closely with project engineers to meet demanding schedules
