compensation package valuing 300 000+ Responsibilities of SVP, Controller Controller Oversight of the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and other formats used for management purposes. Oversees governmental regulatory assessment filings, including AHCA, IRS and other. Coordinates all relations with independent auditors to assure timely and efficient completion of the annual audit. Leads financial due diligence associated with acquisitions and other acquisition related accounting matters including purchase accounting and working capital settlements. Evaluates the accounting treatment for acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestitures by working with valuation experts, legal, and external auditors. Prepares required memos documenting our conclusions on accounting treatment and application of GAAP. Assures that proper internal controls are in place within finance and corporate-wide that provide for accurate and timely financial reporting, proper and authorized transactions, and safeguarding of assets. Leads the development of corporate policies and procedures related to all aspects of internal control. Leads activities of key finance departments, including accounts payable, payroll, accounting, and tax. Manages, monitors, and improves all major processes within these departments. Leads tax planning and compliance for the corporation and its subsidiaries. Leads bond issues and other debt financings and coordinates activities related to them. Coordinates all dealings with investor and rating agency requests for information. Monitors debt covenant compliance and arbitrage rebate liabilities. Leads the planning and design of financial information systems and standard reports. Understands the proper use of financial systems to be most effective and efficient in the analysis of operations. Drives automation of accounting processes, including monthly financial reporting, accounts payable, and payroll.

Qualifications for the SVP, Corporate Controller Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required. Master's degree preferred From publicly traded company From manufacturing and cost background CPA

Preferred experience for the SVP, Corporate Controller Ten (10) years' experience in health system financial management, public accounting, or healthcare consulting, including progressively responsible leadership experience. Minimum five (5) years of experience auditing healthcare providers in large national certified public accounting firm preferred. Must have knowledge of spreadsheet and database applications.
