Base Pay Range $130,000.00/yr – $180,000.00/yr

As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll leverage your expertise to conceive, design and develop effective solutions for electrical systems that meet both specified and implicit requirements.

WHAT YOU’LL DO First 60 days and ongoing:

Learn AIR’s mission, principles, policies, and operational procedures and integrate into the organizational culture.

Get acquainted with fundamental standards and tools used for documenting designs, encompassing BOM structure, AutoCAD Electrical file management, part numbering methods, purchasing protocols, and network file storage.

Collaborate with Senior Engineers to understand electrical design development at AIR.

Begin to create schematic representation of designs.

3 months and ongoing:

Expand role within the Electrical Engineering group, taking on more responsibility for part selection based on functionality, safety and code compliance.

Provide technical support for ongoing manufacturing and customer engagement.

6‑12 months and ongoing:

Take a hands‑on approach in the design process of ongoing projects, gradually assuming autonomy and expanded responsibilities.

Deliver prototypes that meet performance, cost, and schedule goals.

Display proficiency by executing tasks with minimal supervision, proactively identifying potential bottlenecks in project schedules.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related field

strongly preferred

5‑10 years of hands‑on experience in electrical design

strongly preferred

Experience in automation and equipment design and the manufacturing industry

strongly preferred

Knowledge of grounding, shielding, EMC considerations, and servo/stepper motor control

strongly preferred

Familiarity with various types of electrical devices and automation

required

Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

required

Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priority shifts

required

Demonstrates a strong ability to work independently with a high level of organization and follow through

required

Experience with NFPA 79

required

Familiarity with CE and SEMI standards

a plus

Proficient in AutoCAD strongly preferred (AutoCAD Electrical, Eplan)

a plus

Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and BOMs

a plus
