Regional and Generational Programs Coordinator The Regional & Generational Programs Coordinator supports the Alumni Relations team’s comprehensive engagement strategy, focusing on class/generational and club/regional affinities. The coordinator facilitates events, elections, and communications; coordinates with the Alumni Relations Finance and Operations team on regional and generational program‑related financial processes (class dues, club funding, etc.); recruits and manages volunteer committees for assigned cohorts; designs and delivers programming for these program areas; and works with the Associate Director to ensure club‑ and class‑related leadership groups are supported and stewarded appropriately.

Responsibilities

Support alumni engagement strategy for class/generational and club/regional affiliates.

Plan and facilitate events, elections, and communications.

Coordinate financial processes related to regional and generational programs with Finance and Operations.

Recruit, manage, and support volunteer committees of cohort leaders.

Design and deliver programming for assigned program areas.

Collaborate with the Associate Director to steward club‑ and class‑related leadership groups.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum 3 years of experience in alumni relations, volunteer management, development, fundraising, event planning, or similar.

Experience in higher education or a nonprofit setting, and experience in event planning, is desirable.

Competencies

Experience working with volunteer or external constituency groups; ability to collaborate with volunteer leaders.

Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite; experience with web and email technology; proficiency with databases and new technology.

Working knowledge of event‑hosting platforms such as Eventbrite, Zoom, and other virtual event tools.

Excellent customer relations, relationship‑building skills, tact, discretion, and diplomacy.

Strong time‑management, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to interact with faculty, senior administration, and high‑profile alumni.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Creative self‑starter who can think strategically, juggle multiple sensitive tasks, and maintain confidentiality.

Must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends and travel as needed; often required during Memorial Day Weekend for reunion and commencement events.
