Overview Support engagement and education strategy of our student community and FOLD (Friars of the Last Decade) alumni to motivate their support.
Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate the planning & implementation of cultivation/engagement activities and programs of current students that are characteristic to academic, student life, multicultural, athletic, and other affinities in conjunction with colleagues and campus partners. Serve as the liaison to the Student Alumni Ambassadors providing strategic direction and oversight. Leverage the assistance of a graduate student to assist with SAA engagement activities throughout the year. Execute campus programs as opportunities to engage students. (30%)
Assist and support the development of programs, communication, and engagement strategies with our most recent alumni population through on campus and regional events, social media, and peer to peer networking. Identify and qualify young alumni for potential speaking roles, committee recommendations, and volunteer opportunities. Collaborate with the Giving teams to determine opportunities to align engagement with philanthropic efforts. Create opportunities for engagement through events, social media campaigns, and initiatives that resonate with recent graduates. (30%)
Under the guidance of the Associate Director recruit, train, coordinate, and motivate alumni volunteers and leaders, along with Annual Giving partners, for the five- and ten-year reunion classes that are in line with the strategic reunion vision set forth by the Office of Alumni Relations. Identify Class Ambassadors to serve on reunion committees and continue to develop the pipeline for future volunteers within these programs. Serve as the liaison for these classes for reunion committee calls and planning. (20%)
Assist the Associate Director with planning, implementing, and coordinating major campus oriented annual and special events for the general alumni population. Participate on core planning committees. Identify opportunities for student involvement and/or young alumni (FOLD) focused programming or communication in signature programs and campus events. (20%)
MARGINAL DUTIES Perform all other duties as may be required.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required
One to three years' experience in special event planning and volunteer management
Recognized organizational and management skills
Technical skills related to social media, photo and video editing
Supplemental Information PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time
Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction
Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s), for example, using a keyboard
