Position Introduction / Key Duties Cimarron is seeking senior-level
Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineers
to support an advanced aerospace development effort for the Phantom Works program in St. Charles, MO. This innovative program focuses on next‑generation technologies for defense and flight systems.
Key Duties
Lead and perform technical quality reviews for the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid systems and thermal environments to establish system designs.
Lead activities to validate and verify mechanical and fluid systems requirements.
Lead the development, maintenance, and modification of system component designs and proposals to provide installation and detailed documentation.
Perform and document analyses to support design validation and system optimization.
Manage supplier development, testing, and production activities to ensure integration and achievement of program objectives.
Prioritize, delegate, and track analyses of mechanisms, landing gear, ordnance components, and systems, selecting appropriate validation methods to assess designs.
Support proposal preparation and new business development initiatives.
Train, mentor, and coach team members to enhance technical capability and performance.
Work independently under minimal direction while ensuring alignment with program and organizational goals.
Required / Desired Skills, Experience, and Education
Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance in a reasonable timeframe.
Ability to obtain Special Program Access or other government access requirements, if needed.
20 or more years of related experience.
Experience using model‑based engineering tools such as NX, NX Motion, Teamcenter, HyperWorks, MSOSA, or equivalent.
Experience developing and integrating armament‑related hardware on military aircraft, including pneumatic suspension and release equipment, pyrotechnic suspension and release equipment, pneumatic systems, compressors, and pylons.
Experience integrating weapons, external fuel tanks, and mission pods on military aircraft.
Experience managing supplier development and procurement activities, including development of procurement specifications, technical evaluation of supplier proposals, technical coordination with suppliers, and supplier component qualification.
Bachelor of Science from an accredited course of study in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Computer Science.
