Role Description The Account and Business Development Manager will support growth by managing accounts and developing markets across institutional USDA Reimbursable Programs, Non‑Profit, and Rural Non‑Congregant meal program channels. The role bridges sales, operations, and logistics, ensuring every customer touchpoint—from sponsor engagement to home delivery tracking—meets high standards for service and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management
Manage structured outreach processes to maintain strong sponsor and customer relationships.
Track and respond to customer feedback, issues, and satisfaction surveys.
Order management of customer orders.
Coordinate between Sales, Operations, and Compliance for rapid issue resolution.
Create and distribute customer communication materials (updates, renewal notices, guides).
Lead sponsor retention and reactivation efforts using CRM‑driven workflows.
Business Development
Analyze USDA Child and Adult Care Feeding Program (CACFP), Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), and Rural Non‑Congregant Summer Feeding market trends to identify new growth opportunities.
Support expansion into new geographic markets, community organizations, and sponsor types.
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to design campaigns targeting sponsors and partners.
Assist in competitive benchmarking and pricing intelligence gathering.
Order Tracking
Oversee rollout and daily operation of a new parcel delivery tracking system.
Map and optimize workflows for routing, proof‑of‑delivery, and customer notifications.
Work cross‑functionally with internal teams to integrate data and resolve issues.
Monitor dashboards for delivery success rates, exceptions, and compliance adherence.
Train internal users and prepare performance reports for leadership.
Communication & Reporting
Provide weekly and monthly reports summarizing customer feedback and program performance.
Serve as liaison between field operations, sales, and technology teams.
Document SOPs for engagement and tracking processes to ensure consistency and scalability.
Measures of Success
New business development as expressed in annual revenue targets.
On‑time delivery and delivery exception resolution rate.
Identification and pursuit of new leads for expansion.
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in customer engagement, logistics coordination, or operations management.
Experience with meal distribution, foodservice, or government nutrition programs preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, and digital).
Proficiency in CRM tools, route tracking software, and reporting dashboards.
Highly organized, data‑driven, and comfortable leading cross‑functional collaboration.
