Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract position.
Responsibilities
Participate/contribute to meetings to discuss issues that are blocking testing progress
Contribute to story refinement/defining requirements
Participate and guide teams in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle
Perform spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
Code solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
Assist team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work
Create automated testing scripts and run the automation test suite for applications that are onboarding to Containers
Partner with the product owners, business analysts, developers, site reliability engineers and Dev Ops to comprehensively deliver quality releases and ensure stability of the platforms
Manage and develop the testing function end-to-end (from story acceptance criteria through to post-release check-outs)
Implement the best testing practices, measurement of coverage and reporting of quality
Implementation of automation frameworks supporting test driven development, behavior driven development, end-to-end testing and performance testing
Ensure that the testing teams are meeting all required policies/standards and are producing/retaining all required artefacts
Participate and contribute across the complete testing lifecycle taking ownership for assigned project
Contribute to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause
Document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality
Participate, contribute and can coach team members in the delivery/release (CI-CD) events eg branching timelines, pull requests, issue triage, merge/conflict resolution, release notes
Requirements
2-3 years' of experience in containerization automation tools
6+ years' experience of automation / manual testing professional
Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26
