Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive management and supervision of the College’s six computer labs across campus.
Develop and continually revise processes for managing technology in computer labs and classrooms.
Ensure university and college policies regarding technology procurement and lab operations are communicated.
Coordinate all aspects of the college’s reservation process for the six teaching spaces, managing requests and scheduling 60+ classes each semester.
Initiate, track, and manage opportunities to delegate duties to student‑hourly employees, such as staff training and lab reservations.
Monitor and expend the student technology fee budget responsibly throughout the fiscal year.
Coordinate procurement of technology for the College’s eight academic units, centers, and computer labs, including software, printers, and >1,000 client devices.
Develop and organize a system for high‑volume inventory management and acquisition of supplies in the lab.
Recommend and implement technologies, services, and systems that enhance services offered to faculty, staff, and students.
Directly supervise all student computer lab staff (20‑25 hourly employees), handling hiring, training, evaluation, scheduling, and performance improvement.
Develop and update training content for student lab staff.
Serve on selected college and university committees as a representative of the IT group.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience leading or supervising teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Two years or more of relevant work experience.
Experience supporting or managing technology in a computer lab or similar environment.
Experience procuring computer hardware and/or software in a complex environment.
Demonstrated success in building effective teams.
Experience in higher education.
