Epic Prelude/Cadence/Eligibility Analyst

Who We Are Xtensys, a recently established managed service provider, delivers cutting‑edge technology to health systems, starting in NY and expanding beyond. We are seeking an experienced Epic Prelude/Cadence/Eligibility Analyst to join our team of 500 and support our exciting journey. We value people and we’re building a culture to match. Job Summary Functions under the direction of the Application Manager. The Epic Prelude/Cadence/Eligibility Analyst provides intermediate system‑level support of multi‑user clinical and financial applications, operating systems, hardware, software, and reporting tools, including installation, configuration, training, maintenance, and support of these systems. Requires intermediate knowledge of systems analysis. Comprehensive knowledge of project management concepts and methodology. Able to lead and participate in project planning sessions. Ability to establish project goals, milestones, and procedures. Able to manage projects with varying levels of complexity. The Epic Prelude/Cadence/Eligibility Analyst works with project leaders on several aspects of project planning to meet project deadlines.
This individual will promote excellent customer service and strong communication skills to ensure the success of all software applications. Works with outside departments to promote, educate and train on current applications. Works with other members of the Xtensys staff, clinical and operational departments and other Xtensys team members to accomplish the goals established for the project.

Can articulate the underlying issues of the problem, sorts through complex issues, and evaluates potential solutions.

Results Focus Sets challenging personal goals with achievable dates. Works with others on the team to set and meet team goals. Prioritizes and takes ownership of tasks, overcomes obstacles by researching and asking peers questions. Accepts accountability, and ownership of meeting deadlines.
Has the ability to define the problem, and then outline the resolution, and what success would look like. Maintains adherence to Xtensys’ defined processes such as, on‑call, incident management, change management testing procedures, and timekeeping.
Adaptability / Flexibility Quickly adapts to change in the performance of duties. Remains calm and composed under stressful situations. Persuades others to stay calm and focused on the main goals. Promotes and demonstrates open‑mindedness towards change.
Creativity / Innovation Brings new thoughts and ideas to the conversation, challenges the status quo, leads brainstorming sessions with other team members. Takes risk, supports change, and encourages innovation.
Project Management Comprehensive knowledge of project management concepts and methodology.
Able to lead and participate in project planning sessions. Ability to establish project goals, milestones, and procedures. Able to define roles and responsibilities and acquire project resources.
Ability to monitor project progress and identify issues and risk. Able to manage projects with varying levels of complexity.
Mission & Vision Supports, communicates, and incorporates Xtensys Vision and Mission through daily actions and decisions, generates enthusiasm, incorporates vision when planning.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Epic information technology and/or healthcare IT industry.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment by accepting and offering constructive feedback and supporting team goals.
Ability to multi‑task and complete assigned tasks independently with minimal guidance, with close attention to detail, and ability to offer some guidance to other team members.
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems and offer solutions.
Comprehensive understanding of application support.
Ability to serve as a primary resource for at least 1 application module.
Ability to gather, translate, and communicate business or clinical requirements into technical solutions for application implementation.
Education and Certifications
Bachelors Information Technology or Bachelors Other, preferred
Current Epic certification in at least one of the following: Prelude, Cadence, Eligibility is REQUIRED.
Travel Requirements
Up to 20% (this includes ‘go‑live’ implementations)
Physical Requirements
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally in carrying, lifting, pushing, and pulling objects. Sitting most of the time, with walking and standing required only occasionally.
