537261 We are seeking a full‑time Acute Care Surgeon to join the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville at the Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level. The role will expand our acute care surgery division to eleven full‑time surgeons and will continue to grow our clinical mission. Overview
The University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville (UFCOM‑J) is a Level 1 Trauma Center serving Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. The division covers adult and pediatric trauma care, emergency general surgery, and surgical critical care at a 696‑bed facility with a 28‑bed surgical intensive care unit. Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive acute care surgery services for adult and pediatric patients, including trauma, general surgery, and critical care. Supervise and mentor medical students, residents, physician assistant students, and other trainees. Participate in clinical research and academic projects, including translational and preclinical studies. Engage in teaching and educational activities for residents and surgical trainees. Collaborate with faculty and division colleagues to advance surgery and research portfolios. Qualifications
MD/DO with board eligibility or board certification in surgery. Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Florida. Strong clinical background in acute care, trauma, or general surgery. Preferred
Interest or expertise in geriatric trauma. Active research portfolio and publication record. Application Information
