Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our team as our in‑house CPA and Financial Controller. This role is critical in leading our financial management, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, and supporting the success of our construction projects through strong project financial controlling. The Financial Controller will serve as both a strategic advisor to leadership and a hands‑on manager of day‑to‑day financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of financial management including accounting, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.

Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal financial policies.

Manage and optimize the company’s financial systems (currently transitioning from Sage 100 Contractor to Sage Intacct).

Lead project financial controlling, including monitoring project budgets and actuals.

Support project managers with financial reporting and variance analysis.

Ensure accurate job costing and revenue recognition.

Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.

Develop financial dashboards and reports for executive leadership.

Manage audits, tax filings, and external financial relationships.

Provide strategic input on cost control, risk management and financial growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Active CPA license required.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).

5+ years of experience in accounting/controlling roles, ideally within the construction industry.

Strong knowledge of job costing, project financials, and construction accounting practices.

Proficiency in accounting/ERP systems; experience with Sage Intacct or Sage 100 Contractor a plus.

Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
