Aloha! One of Hawaii's healthcare companies is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with a strong foundation in enterprise infrastructure and systems administration. The ideal candidate would have a well‑rounded infrastructure background who thrives in smaller environments and can take on lead responsibilities and drive IT initiatives. Additionally, deep experience in server and storage systems, virtualization, and automation, with solid exposure to networking and security is required. Familiarity with cloud platforms is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
Architect, deploy, and maintain core infrastructure systems including Windows/Linux servers, storage arrays, and virtualization platforms.
Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and other foundational services.
Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Monitor system health, performance, and capacity; proactively address issues and optimize resources.
Automate system provisioning, configuration, and maintenance using scripting and infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
Collaborate with network and security teams to ensure secure and resilient infrastructure.
Support hybrid environments and assist in cloud migration or integration efforts (AWS, Azure, etc.).
Maintain documentation for systems architecture, procedures, and configurations.
Provide Tier 3 support and technical leadership for infrastructure‑related incidents and projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure operations.
Strong expertise in Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V).
Familiarity with enterprise storage (SAN/NAS) and backup solutions.
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls).
Exposure to security practices including patching, hardening, and identity management.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and automation tools.
Certifications such as MCSE, RHCE, VMware VCP, or equivalent are desirable.
Soft Skills
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Honolulu, HI.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year.
Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Honolulu, HI.
