This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Responsibilities
DevOps Implementation: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, and AWS CodePipeline to automate deployment and integration processes.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize tools like Terraform and AWS CloudFormation to automate infrastructure provisioning and management, ensuring consistency and scalability.
Cloud Networking: Design and manage cloud networking solutions using Amazon VPC, ensuring secure and efficient connectivity across AWS services and on-premises systems.
Monitoring and Logging: Implement monitoring and logging solutions using Amazon CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Splunk to ensure system reliability and performance.
Security and Compliance: Collaborate with security teams to implement best practices for AWS security, including IAM roles, Security Groups, and AWS WAF configurations.
Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and reduce latency across the cloud infrastructure.
Collaboration and Support: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and support for the PECOS system in the AWS environment.
Documentation and Training: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of DevOps processes and network configurations; provide training and support to team members on best practices and new technologies.
Required Qualifications
5 plus years of experience with AWS migration, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or Network Engineer, with a strong understanding of cloud environments, particularly AWS.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like Jenkins, Terraform, and AWS CloudFormation.
Experience with networking concepts and cloud networking solutions, including VPC, VPN, and Direct Connect.
Familiarity with Java-based applications and related technologies such as Java 8, Struts, and Oracle databases.
Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements in cloud environments.
Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or equivalent certification is preferred.

Compensation CGI’s estimated compensation range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 – $198,400.00.
