Senior DevOps Engineer
CGI is seeking a motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and shape our cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing AWS-based solutions, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security while driving continuous integration and delivery across internal partner projects.
Location & Employment Type Full‑time, hybrid model. Preferred locations: Boston, MA; Jersey City, NJ; Merrimack, NH.
Compensation Estimated salary range (U.S.): $100,800.00 – $238,100.00.
Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable, secure cloud infrastructure on AWS.
Lead development and implementation of automated CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub, Artifactory, and Jenkins.
Manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure application and infrastructure health.
Champion security best practices to protect sensitive financial data.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps methodologies and optimize workflows.
Identify and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities.
Research and evaluate emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve DevOps practices.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with demonstrated leadership.
Deep understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, ECS, Lambda, IAM, etc.) and CloudFormation.
Expert proficiency in Unix/Linux environments.
Mastery of scripting languages: Python, Bash, and Groovy.
Significant experience with Java and SQL.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, GitHub, and Jenkins.
Deep knowledge of containerization technologies: Docker and Kubernetes.
Extensive experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog.
Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
Experience in the financial services industry and compliance with related regulations.
AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional) preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
