You'll work across multiple cloud infrastructure frameworks, from legacy Python and AWS CloudFormation templates to modern Terraform-based automation. Collaborating with many development teams in a fast‑paced environment, you'll leverage AWS best practices and cutting‑edge DevOps tools to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient solutions. This position can be located remotely anywhere in the U.S. with the client based in Dallas, Texas.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure following best practices for security, scalability, and cost optimization.
Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Python, and CloudFormation.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
Automate operational tasks and deployments using Python scripting.
Collaborate with developers and architects to support a large variety cloud workloads from serverless to IaaS.
Monitor and optimize cloud resources using AWS observability tools (CloudWatch, etc.).
Ensure compliance with governance and security standards.
Required Qualifications
AWS Cloud Expertise: Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, etc.).
Infrastructure as Code: Hands‑on experience with Terraform and CloudFormation.
Scripting: Proficiency in Python for automation.
CI/CD: Experience with GitLab pipelines and DevOps practices.
Cloud Architecture: Understanding of high availability, scalability, and cost optimization principles.
Version Control: Git‑based workflows.
Compensation A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 - $218,200.00.
