The Role The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the full accounting cycle across multiple entities — ensuring timely closes, accurate reconciliations, and complete reporting. This role supports general ledger management, treasury activity, lender reporting, and audit/tax coordination in a fast‑paced financial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform monthly close for multiple entities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

Maintain accurate balance sheet and cash account reconciliations; research and resolve variances.

Prepare lender and investor reporting packages, including covenant and compliance schedules.

Manage ACH and wire payments, review disbursement requests, and monitor cash balances.

Post daily and weekly cash and lockbox activity; ensure completeness and proper coding.

Maintain short‑term cash projections and assist with financial forecasting updates.

Support audits, agreed‑upon procedures, and tax preparation by organizing schedules and documentation.

Prepare tax‑basis calculations, quarterly estimates, and business license or property tax renewals.

Pull and reconcile credit card, bank, and investment statements; oversee recurring uploads and reporting processes.

Maintain accounting systems, recurring entry schedules, and process documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a multi‑entity environment.

Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and month‑end close processes.

Proficiency with mid‑market ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.

CPA or progress toward CPA preferred but not required.

Success Measures

Timely, accurate month‑end closes and reconciliations.

Complete and on‑time lender and compliance reporting.

Efficient audit and tax cycles with well‑documented support.

Consistent process improvements and reliable reporting accuracy.
