Senior Overhead Transmission Line Engineer

Provide guidance on department design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and B&V policies. Ensure compliance with B&V quality program and promote continuous improvement. Prepare complex engineering deliverables and perform advanced research for equipment and materials selection. Manage assigned budget, schedule, and quality requirements; review lower level engineering work. Coordinate with internal and external team members on complex projects; define project schedules. Communicate client interests and develop approaches to accommodate them. Mentor lower level and mid level professionals; identify successors. Management Responsibilities
Supervises work of others; responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of subordinates. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in 69kV to 500kV overhead transmission line design and power line system based programs (PLS, PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE). Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards. Client interaction experience with solid relationship‑building abilities. Experience with design of utility‑scale electrical transmission systems. Structural design of transmission steel structures and foundations. Basic structural steel and concrete experience using 3D analysis and design software. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience. Minimum 11 years related work experience. Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) in applicable countries. Must complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records). Certifications
Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) in applicable countries. Work Environment/Physical Demands
Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment. Positions may be located in any of our U.S. offices. Some positions may be relocation eligible. Compensations and Benefits
