As a Principal Network Engineer specializing in Voice and Unified Communications (UC), you will play a critical role in the design, operation, and enhancement of large‑scale communication services for IS, non‑IS, and clinical caregivers. This role requires deep technical expertise in deploying and managing advanced voice/UC systems, integrating legacy systems, and providing top‑tier support in complex environments. Some travel may be required.

Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent education and work experience 8+ years of related experience Strong experience in automation, including deployment and recovery processes Scripting experience with PowerShell, Perl, Ansible, VB Script, Python, or SQL Experience with n-tier solutions Experience with resilience modeling and simulating service outages Ability to translate customer and technical requirements into service architecture meeting QoS expectations Leadership experience in backlog discussions and live‑site prioritization Data‑driven decision making skills Advanced problem solving and root‑cause analysis expertise

Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree or equivalent experience 8+ years of hands‑on experience with Avaya Enterprise Unified Communications technologies in a multi‑data‑center environment 4+ years of hands‑on experience with Cisco in a multi‑data‑center environment Proficiency in Cisco UCS technologies (Call Manager, CUBE, Unity, WebEx Calling, Voice Gateways) Expertise in Avaya hardware and technologies (Communication Manager, Aura Messaging, Session Manager) Experience managing and supporting Oracle SBC in large‑scale enterprise environments Deep knowledge of VoIP networking services, SIP, carrier‑based solutions Experience with monitoring and telemetry tools (SNMP, Syslog, Wireshark) Cloud and networking certifications, preferably CCNP Collaboration Experience with large‑scale migrations from legacy PBX to Cisco Cloud UCM and SIP Support faxing over SIP/H.323 Familiarity with CDR systems and SIP log aggregator data collection Proficiency in voice testing, load tools, and call‑quality measurement tools Strong analytical, judgment, and problem‑solving skills Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and consensus‑building abilities In‑depth knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies, practices, and procedures
