• Case Mix: General surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, plastics, vascular, colorectal, ENT, GI, urology

• Regional anesthesia blocks for OR cases
• No CT, neuro, or cranial cases; no outpatient pain management
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active New York State Medical License
• Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• DEA: Active DEA registration required
• Certifications: ACLS required
• Experience: Must have OB anesthesia experience including labor epidurals and C-sections
• Other Qualifications: Clean malpractice and work history required for temp privileges; no work gaps
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide full-scope anesthesia care across OR and L&D
• Manage all bread-and-butter surgical and OB anesthesia cases
• Administer anesthesia for scheduled and emergent procedures
• Perform regional blocks and monitor intraoperative and postoperative patients
• Participate in call rotation; respond within 15 minutes when on call
• Collaborate with CRNAs, anesthesiologists, and OR staff in a team-based environment
• Follow department assignments and directives from Chief or Acting Chief
• Ensure accurate documentation in Epic EMR
• Adhere to hospital policies, CME requirements, and credentialing standards
