Incumbents in this classification perform duties preparing for court proceedings and in the courtroom at the direction of the Judge. Job Details Hiring Rate: $17.98 Hourly Essential Functions Prepares the courtroom for the day's cases. Ensures all parties involved in the proceedings are present. Maintains order in the courtroom during sessions. Maintains the integrity of the court process, ensuring no outside communication during deliberation. Escorts jurors and witnesses to and from the courtroom. Tends to juror needs, answers non-legal questions, and provides assistance. Contacts attorneys and witnesses by telephone for court sessions. Calls jurors by telephone for jury duty. May perform general clerical activities. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D and one year of relevant work experience, preferably involving court activities. Alternatively, any equivalent experience, training, or education approved by Human Resources. Preference given to those with applicable degrees or extensive relevant experience. Licenses, Certificates & Physical Conditions Must have a valid Arizona Driver's License at appointment. Physical Demands/Working Conditions Typically office-based; may lift materials/equipment up to 20 lbs.
