What We Do As one of Iowa's most trusted human services agencies, LSI has a legacy of serving children, adults, and families for more than 160 years. Our Services for People with Disabilities wrap care around individuals across the state, from occasional respite care to 24/7 support in shared apartment environments or one‑on‑one care through our Supported Community Living (SCL) program.

What You'll Do An hourly SCL Caseworker works with children and some adults with intellectual disabilities or chronic mental illness. Our Caseworkers provide support, assistance, and instruction in learning independent living skills like:

Money management

Socialization

Cooking

Personal hygiene

Our Caseworkers should know the basics of outcome‑based performance measures, and develop Individualized Service Plans that are functional and reflective of the personal goals each of our individuals have.

Flexible position with a flexible schedule. This part‑time role may lead to a full‑time position once the caseload is built. No weekends; working with adults and after‑school hours with children. Able to make own schedule that fits the clients' needs. This position is out in the community and in clients' homes. Must have computer skills and be able to drive, as we take clients out into the community. If you want to help others achieve their goals, this job is for you.

What You’ll Need Qualified candidates for this job will have one of the following:

Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS in Human Services, Education, or related field) with one year of related experience preferred.

Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Non‑human Services with one year of human services related experience.

AA Degree with two years of human services experience.

High school diploma/GED with four years of human services experience.

Must have basic computer skills. If you do not have any of these qualifications, please look at our Direct Support Professional – SCL position. DSP requires HS diploma/GED and a valid current driver's license; no experience required.
