Position Overview The Project Manager is responsible for leading all phases of assigned electrical construction projects from preconstruction through close-out. This position ensures project objectives for safety, quality, schedule, and financial performance are met or exceeded. The Project Manager acts as the primary liaison between clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, providing leadership, technical expertise, and effective communication to deliver successful outcomes and maintain strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities Preconstruction & Contract Administration
Review and interpret owner contracts to ensure compliance with company standards and project requirements.
Collaborate with estimating and preconstruction teams to develop accurate budgets and execution strategies.
Participate in constructability reviews and value engineering to optimize project performance.
Assist with preparation, negotiation, and execution of GMP or Lump Sum contracts.
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and quality control programs.
Identify and address critical milestones, potential risks, and resource needs.
Ensure all work is executed safely and in accordance with company and site-specific requirements.
Oversee subcontractor and vendor performance to maintain quality, schedule, and contractual compliance.
Conduct regular progress meetings and maintain accurate project documentation.
Financial & Risk Management
Track and forecast project financial performance, ensuring profitability and accountability.
Review and process change orders, pay applications, and cost reports.
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier capabilities and performance.
Maintain detailed records including RFIs, submittals, and QA/QC documentation.
Serve as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and partners throughout the project lifecycle.
Foster collaboration across internal and external project teams to ensure alignment and clear communication.
Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Support and mentor assistant project managers and project engineers as needed.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in electrical construction project management, preferably with a subcontractor.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and project management platforms such as Procore or Primavera.
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, cost control, safety standards, and quality management.
Soft Skills:
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to build relationships and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
