Overview Summary of Essential Functions for the Position: Committed to Caring, the Intake Coordinator receives incoming calls from patient referral sources, gathers necessary information, and ensures quality communication between referral sources and admitting offices. Assist in answering and dispatching phone calls and messages. Works with others in a team environment. Works in conjunction with the sales team on establishing lines of communication with new referral sources and providing positive experiences to contacts.
Responsibilities
Receive incoming calls from patient referral sources and gather necessary information.
Ensure quality communication between referral sources and admitting offices.
Assist in answering and dispatching phone calls and messages.
Collaborate in a team environment and with the sales team to establish lines of communication with new referral sources.
Provide positive experiences to contacts.
Qualifications
One (1) to Two (2) years of related experience;
Home Health experience preferred .
Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system,
Wellsky/Kinnser preferred .
Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with excellent interpersonal skills.
Good customer relations skills and a commitment to providing quality service.
Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate good organizational skills and time management.
Proficient with a computer and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; working knowledge of EMR database preferred.
Ability to support the core values and goals of the Agency.
Valid driver's license, automobile liability insurance, and reliable transportation required.
Travel may be required.
Educational Requirements
High school diploma or GED required.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Working environment is relatively quiet but can be stressful due to deadlines, multiple tasks, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Visual acuity and dexterity required; ability to sit, stand; some pushing/pulling; lifting up to 25 pounds.
