Responsibilities
Collect and review qualification documents from logistics service providers.
Participate in supplier evaluation and onboarding processes.
Assist in negotiating and executing logistics service contracts.
Serve as the main contact for daily communications with logistics suppliers.
Manage shipment bookings and monitor order status for North America.
Track shipment movements and update internal stakeholders on logistics milestones.
Verify cargo insurance purchases and logistics cost invoices.
Identify and manage risks related to North America shipments.
Resolve issues such as equipment shortages and booking discrepancies.
Lead follow-up and processing of cargo insurance claims.
Review shipping documents for accuracy.
Prepare and submit payment requests to the finance team.
Track and confirm draft Bills of Lading; ensure timely release of originals upon payment.
Collect and analyze market trends and logistics intelligence for renewable resources in North America.
Provide data-driven insights to support strategic decisions.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years
of experience in
logistics or freight forwarding
within a
commodities trading
company (preferably metals).
Established network
with
ship agencies, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and insurance providers .
Strong knowledge of major North American logistics ports and operations.
Proficient in end-to-end logistics including inland trucking and ocean freight (FCL).
Familiarity with ocean freight market, chartering/booking processes, and shipping documentation.
