Summary The position of Loan Operations Specialist is responsible for providing operational and administrative support in maintaining escrow loans, contracts for deeds, floor plans, denials, loan closings, and other support for the department as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

Ensures that all taxes and insurance are paid on time.

Executes report generation on escrow loans and balances related GL accounts.

Audits all escrow loans each year, or as often as needed.

Responsible for Contract for Deeds and related customer services; responsible for loading new contracts, making payments for customers, printing receipts, and entering all 1099’s at year end.

Reviews loan denials by verifying all information. Tracks denials electronically and mails to the customer within 30 days.

Provides a high level of customer service when responding to inquiries both internal and external and provides necessary resolution as appropriate.

Processes all closed loans that payoff. Breaks down all files and separates the documents to disperse to appropriate personnel. Mails out all documents as necessary.

Review insurance processes (VSI and GAP) and suggest improvements to increase efficiency.

Review required insurance coverage, review insurance policies, certificates of insurance and/or Accord forms, Life Insurance, SBA Insurance Exceptions.

Track GL, Workman’s Comp, Malpractice, Builder’s Risk and Vessels.

Work with third-party insurance tracking company to pull reports, review daily hazard, wind and flood logs, and issue pay outs in the system.

Order, receive and pay appraisals and inspections.

Identifies and reports loan document exceptions for errors or non-compliance of relevant banking laws and regulations such as, but not limited to, HMDA, TRID, Commercial, Real Estate.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent / College Degree preferred.

Banking and/or legal experience dealing with loans required.

An understanding of relevant banking laws and regulations is preferred.

Familiarity with LoanVantage, LaserPro, GSS, CORE banking software programs a plus.

Strong communication skills and ability to interact with others in a professional manner.

Detail oriented, with analytical skills necessary for preparation and accurate review of documents.

Ability to understand and review legal loan documents.

Ability to understand and review DMV and Wildlife and Fisheries Documents.

Excellent computer skills, along with the ability to adapt to new programs.

Strong work ethic, along with high level of integrity and understanding of the need for confidentiality.
