$17.00/hr - $19.00/hr Responsibilities
Execute, monitor, and train inventory best practices and standard operating procedures for the entire store, including front end and pharmacy. Support pharmacy inventory management activities (receiving, counting, ordering, facilitating returns). Champion On-Shelf Availability and manage receiving, counting, pricing, returns, and all in-store inventory processes. Validate and ensure accuracy of planograms. Review and coordinate the use of reports and system applications impacting the accuracy of front end and pharmacy on-hand balances and pricing. Execute and maintain front end and pharmacy asset protection techniques; file claims for warehouse and vendor overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods including prescription drugs. In designated stores, open and close the store in the absence of store management, including systems start-ups, cash handling, cashier responsibilities, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day. Engage customers, greet and assist with products and services; lead on duty to resolve customer issues and ensure a positive customer experience. Model and share customer service best practices with team members. Execute and coach team members on warehouse and vendor inventory management processes (creating, reviewing, and receiving orders). Scan deliveries in-store, perform One Box receiving, and address undelivered or erroneous orders with the vendor. Verify pharmacy shipments posted for products received; complete postings for pharmacy warehouse orders, prescription and OTC orders, and related counts; report shortages or damaged product. Complete On-Shelf Availability end-to-end for planogrammed departments, including disposals, call-ins, vendor returns, and scan outs/returns for subscribed departments and pharmacy. Support pharmacy inventory activities including recalls, vendor returns, non-controlled and damaged salvage returns; facilitate excess inventory transfers where applicable. Verify posting of all pharmacy/prescription claims. Perform pricing activities including price changes, markdowns, and pricing tasks; maintain accurate signage and pricing in designated departments. Support front end and pharmacy ordering, monitor manual orders to identify excesses, maintain consigned inventory, and manage orders as required. Maintain accuracy of on-hand counts and inventory records across basic departments, stockroom, overstock locations, and pharmacy. Ensure inventory compliance with state/local laws for regulated products; assist with inventory records and filing invoices/receipts/return authorizations. Prepare for physical inventory and support inventory day activities, including coordinating floor and stockroom readiness and third-party inventory audits. Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; stay knowledgeable of store systems and equipment. Assist and coach staff on package delivery activities, scanning, daily inventory functions, and returns; support the Pickup Program. As leader on duty, register all related sales on the POS system, handle scanning errors, price verifications, and refunds; process returns, order voids, cash drops, and provide change as requested. Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers; complete any additional tasks as assigned. Qualifications
Six months of prior Walgreens experience (internal) or one year of prior retail experience (external). Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi-task and execute; experience identifying operational issues and implementing solutions. Preferred: experience as a shift lead, pharmacy technician, designated hitter, or customer service associate; prior Walgreens experience preferred. Additional Information
