Customer Centric Solutions Business Planner Are you passionate about driving strategic customer outcomes through professional services? Join Emerson as a Customer Centric Solutions Business Planner – Aerospace, Defense and Government Services Engagement & Planning Leader. You will shape and execute customer programs and services engagements, blend strategic planning with proactive engagement, and ensure long‑term success across a diverse portfolio of accounts.

Responsibilities

Engage with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to qualify and shape custom solutions design and delivery.

Collaborate with global sales teams to assess, evaluate and plan large customer‑centric projects and programs.

Drive the project steering group approval process and deliver required artifacts to the delivery team.

Work with business and technical leaders to define project budgets, milestones and objectives ensuring alignment with financial targets.

Develop and communicate Statements of Work, program plans, KPIs, and executive summaries to internal and external stakeholders.

Champion customer success by proactively identifying opportunities to enhance value delivery, ensuring alignment between customer objectives and service outcomes, and driving continuous improvement across engagements.

Collaborate with legal and contracts teams to structure, negotiate, and finalize comprehensive contractual agreements that support strategic initiatives, mitigate risk, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in professional services, planning, or customer engagement roles.

Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex customer programs.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience developing Statements of Work.

Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and ROI analysis.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.

Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with NI’s platform, solutions and services portfolio.

Advanced degree (Engineering, MBA or equivalent) is a plus.

Experience with program management tools and methodologies.

Ability to navigate matrixed organizations and influence without authority.

Experience with reviewing, negotiating, and executing contracts within the Aerospace, Defense, and Government industries.
