Lead a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office. Provide front-line leadership and development of tax office associates, delivering an outstanding client experience and achieving all office-related growth objectives. Serve as a knowledgeable resource on tax topics and products for associates, and advance your knowledge and skills to excel with us. Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates. Create associate work schedules, ensure accurate timekeeping and overtime management. Prepare tax returns, as required. Conduct timely performance reviews and partner with the Associate Relations Center to resolve issues and address performance concerns. What you'll bring to the team
Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans, develop local partnerships, and manage office community involvement. Assist the District General Manager in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office associate positions. Serve as point of contact for onsite escalated client service concerns and ensure clients are scheduled properly with conflicts resolved. Build an engaging team environment by training and coaching associates to execute on Service Standards and recognize outstanding contributions. Lead daily activities to ensure work is completed according to deadlines and quality standards. Prepare tax returns as needed and ensure compliance with timelines. Demonstrate independence with minimal supervision and a customer-centric mindset. Your Expertise
Prior experience in customer service, shift leadership, or a similar role; experience supervising or managing people. Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns). Annual continuing education and ability to meet IRS and applicable state requirements. Computer proficient with MS Office and ability to work independently. Flexible work schedule and adaptability to business needs. High school diploma or equivalent or higher. Why work for us
