Assistant Facilities Manager
– Big Al's
What You Will Do Responsible for maintaining building and equipment functionality, including audio/visual systems, pinsetters, arcade games, kitchen and bar equipment, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, landscaping, and more, with a focus on safety and cleanliness.
Prioritize tasks and projects to maximize timeliness of completion and safety.
Perform facility‑related repairs and maintenance, including bowling, arcade, and restaurant equipment.
Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report findings to the Facility Manager.
Execute preventative maintenance tasks for optimal building operation.
Operate power and manual tools.
Ensure maintenance, appearance, and condition of assigned facilities comply with security, safety, and environmental codes and ordinances.
Interact professionally with vendors, guests, and staff members.
Assist in inventory management, ensuring accuracy and suggesting improvements.
Complete proficiency checks and actively train new and existing team members.
Assist in scheduling, modify schedules during call‑outs, monitor employee time and attendance for accuracy, and prepare daily labor reporting.
Follow company guidelines for managing confidential information, guest satisfaction, and supervising team members.
Enforce compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, and company policy.
Perform opening and closing duties, including checking doors, setting or disengaging the alarm when entering and exiting.
Supervise labor to ensure breaks are covered and lunches are taken timely.
Ensure processes and procedures run smoothly and efficiently for optimal guest experience.
Follow all safety procedures and practices, and use PPE to ensure personal and guest safety from potential hazards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary environment: remove garbage, recycle, sweep, wipe equipment and furniture, mop, replenish sanitary items, and clean outdoor property.
Other duties as assigned.
What You Need to Do the Job
Preferred knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanics, and carpentry.
Intermediate skills in MS Office programs.
Ability to quickly adapt to new IT systems.
Proven ability to work professionally as a team and independently when necessary.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively with people at all staff levels, guests, and external agents.
Ability to problem solve and generate positive impacts.
Awareness and ambassador of safety, and cultivating an inclusive team culture.
Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of facilities supervisory experience; two years’ experience preferred.
