Electrical Maintenance Technician – Job Description (Clear Version) Location:
101 Carley Court, Georgetown, KY Schedule:
12-hour shifts (Day & Night available, 3–4 days per week) What we are looking for
A
hands-on Electrical Maintenance Technician
(not a manager). Someone with
industrial plant electrical background
(PLCs, robotics, CNC, hydraulics/pneumatics). 3–5+ years of direct electrical maintenance experience
(not entry-level, but not necessarily senior management). Willingness to work
rotating 12-hour shifts
and handle physically demanding plant conditions. A technician who is
safety-focused, reliable, and can handle both troubleshooting and programming tasks . Role Purpose
The
Electrical Maintenance Technician
is responsible for
installing, repairing, testing, and maintaining plant electrical systems and equipment
(production machinery, robotics, PLCs, CNC, hydraulics/pneumatics). The role ensures machine reliability, uptime, and safety while supporting both electrical and mechanical maintenance needs. Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair
electrical and electronic plant equipment . Read and interpret
electrical schematics and blueprints . Perform electrical work per
NEC codes and regulations . Install and maintain
switch gear, motors, transformers, wiring, and controls . Troubleshoot and repair
PLC programs, robotics, servo drives, CNC machines, HMI applications . Program and modify
Allen Bradley PLCs
and
Kawasaki Robots . Troubleshoot and repair
hydraulic and pneumatic systems . Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment to diagnose and repair. Participate in ongoing training and help train other maintenance staff. Support energy efficiency and continuous improvement projects. Required Qualifications
3–5+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience
in a manufacturing/industrial setting. Proficiency in reading
electrical schematics/blueprints . Knowledge of
low and high voltage systems , electrical codes (NEC). Experience with
PLC programming, robotics, motion/motor controls, hydraulics/pneumatics . Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work
any shift, overtime, weekends, shutdowns . Must pass
drug test, background check, E-Verify, and physical exam . Reliable transportation and ability to work in
non-temperature-controlled, dirty environments (graphite exposure) . Preferred / Bonus Qualifications
Electrical degree, diploma, or certification. Journeyman Electrician License (current or expired). Prior experience with
Allen Bradley PLCs and Kawasaki Robots . Welding and machining knowledge. Seniority level
