Job Description
Position: Maintenance Technician 2nd or 3rd Shift - Mechanical & Hydraulics Allen Bradley PLCs Salary: Based on Experience Industry: Manufacturing / Automotive Position Description: Perform a wide variety of mechanical and electrical maintenance work of a skilled and complex nature. Installs, repairs, and maintains manufacturing equipment and plant facilities necessary for satisfactory operation of equipment and processes. This position is moderately physical. Diagnose mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and combustion malfunctions and operating difficulties. Determine repair procedures and implement those repairs that will be effective in preventing reoccurrence. Navigate and interpret ladder logic in SLC 500, PLC 5, and Control Logix software for troubleshooting equipment faults. Modify positions and diagnose problems on ABB robots. Models M94, M98, M2000, M2600, and M6700. Install, move, and align new and existing equipment. Set up and operate various types of machine shop equipment with a moderate degree of accuracy and efficiency. Perform both gas and electric welding operations. Complete related machine repair records, perform associated handling duties, and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition. Perform all necessary preventive and proactive tasks on plant equipment. Perform other related duties as assigned by supervision and/or designated team leader. Skills Required: Navigate and interpret ladder logic in SLC 500, PLC 5, and Control Logix software for troubleshooting equipment faults. Modify positions and diagnose problems on ABB robots. Models M94, M98, M2000, M2600, and M6700. Perform both gas and electric welding operations. Must be able to apply principles acquired through technical or vocational subjects (certificates or some college courses). 4 years of experience in Allen Bradley, Hydraulics, Robotics, and Welding.
